New EuRIS portal online
As of now, all inland waterway users can use a new European information portal called EuRIS to plan their voyage.
On a single platform EuRIS combines all waterway and traffic related information of 13 European countries that worked together to make this project possible. It covers the main European inland waterways and corridors, including the Moselle.
Instead of consulting numerous websites and other information sources users can now retrieve across borders all relevant information via a single portal. They can get information on the current traffic situation and notices to skippers published by the participating countries or use the voyage and route planner.
After registration it is also possible to enter information yourself and share it in a protected environment, for instance the estimated time of arrival (ETA) or the position of your ship. Privacy is always guaranteed, as the owner of the information decides who is allowed to see which data.
In the near future the portal will be improved with regards to data coverage, completeness and usability. You can access it at the following address:https://www.eurisportal.eu/
